THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1975 SERVING SOUTHWESTERN MONTANA. WE ARE A PRIVATE, NOT-FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY ACTION ORGANIZATION. WE EXIST TO INSTILL HOPE, DEVELOP RESOURCES, DESIGN SOLUTIONS AND CHANGE LIVES. WE ENVISION A PLACE WHERE OPPORTUNITY AND QUALITY LIFE ARE EQUALLY AFFORDED TO EVERYONE. WE WORK TO ACHIEVE THIS BY HELPING PEOPLE ALL AGES AND SITUATIONS CONFRONT AND OVERCOME OBSTACLES SO THAT THEY CAN IMPROVE THEIR LIVES. WE WORK TO ADDRESS THE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS POVERTY, OPERATING A FAMILY SERVICES ADDRESSING PRESSING NEEDS: HUNGER, HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS, CHILD AND YOUTH , SENIOR EMPOWERMENT, COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION, HOME HEATING, EFFICIENCY, AND SAFETY, AND COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC . THROUGH INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS, GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAMMING, WE FOSTER SUSTAINABLE RESULTS THROUGH PRACTICAL, COMPREHENSIVE APPROACHES TO SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CHALLENGES.

We are a non-profit thrift store which serves Mineral County, MT. Our entire staff is volunteer. Monies earned through the sale of items are turned into financial donations for our local food bank, three high schools for scholarships, and to the homeless, fire disasters. We also contribute to people needing help with medical transportation and other medical emergencies.

Fundraising for our unincorporated village, this includes supporting the other local non profit organizations who assist the local homeless children, providing clothing, personal hygene supplies, shoes, coats, and backpacks of food for the weekends.

We advocate for military veterans hosting our two-day Annual Veterans Stand-Down, a benefit and service fair providing access to over 60 service providers to needy veterans, their families, targeting the needy and homeless in the community.

THE ORGANIZATION FOSTERS DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-INCOME HOUSING FOR HOUSEHOLDS AT OR BELOW 60 PERCENT OF MEDIAN INCOME THRUOUGH ACTING AS DEVELOPER AND GENERAL PARTNER OF LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS AND LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES UNDER IRC SECTION 42.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO MAKES CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO VARIOUS CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS.
